Download iOS Firmwares für iPod [UPDATE]

Die Datei muss nach dem Download auf .ipsw enden. Sollte die Endung .zip bzw. .rar heißen muss sie wieder in .ipsw umbenannt werden! Dazu darf die Datei nicht entpackt sein ! Unter Windows muss dazu in den Ordneroptionen die Auswahl "Erweiterungen bei bekannten Dateitypen ausblenden" deaktiviert sein. Danach kann die Dateiendung mit einem Rechtsklick und der Auswahl von "Umbenennen" wieder in das fürs iPhone benötigte Format umbenannt werden.

Da Safari (bei Mac) die Firmware gleich entpackt, ist hier der Download mit einem Alternativbrowser wie beispielsweise dem Firefox zu empfehlen, ansonsten ist unter OS X eigentlich nichts zu beachten.

Solch eine List wird wenig später auch für das iPhone, iPad, iPod und das Apple TV erstellt.
